Site Director’s Bio:Ms. Oneiki Robinson

Ms. Oneiki is native of California. She was born and raised in the bay area and could not see her family living anywhere else. Ms. Oneiki and her husband Kevin have two teenage sons – 13 and 15 and an adult son who is 21. They currently reside in Los Banos, California where it stays sunny most of the year, which makes Ms. Oneiki very happy! In Ms. Oneiki’s spare time she enjoys brushing up on her education, doing outdoor activities with her husband and sons, traveling and having extended family over to her home.

Prior to becoming an educator, Ms. Oneiki worked several years as a Special Finance Director at her parent’s business. After that adventure, she took on a new venture and accepted a position with CI Enterprises (one of the first electric car companies) as Sr. Administrator. After working for CI Enterprise for almost 4 years, she still didn’t feel she had met her career match. A year after giving birth to her second son, Ms. Oneiki decided to stay home and bond with her two children. It was during this time her second to the oldest son was diagnosed with high functioning Autism, and her oldest son was diagnosed with ADHD. In 2001 she gave birth to her third son who was later diagnosed with high functioning Autism also. Realizing the importance and knowledge needed to help her 3 sons, Ms. Oneiki finally figured out her calling. It was in her soul to become an educator for mainstream and special needs children. She has been an educator for over 14 years now and has held positions as Teacher, Assistant Director and Program Director.

Ms. Oneiki has a Bachelor’s degree in Early Child Education Administration with a minor in Health Care Administration, and her Master’s Degree in Education with a minor in Special Education. In her heart she knows that her 3 sons are the reason she has had so much success and fulfillment in her life. They inspire her to be the best educator she can be. They have taught her that if they can get over the adversities they face every day with having Autism, then there’s no battle too big for her to conquer.
Working with children is Ms. Oneiki’s passion and she could not envision doing anything else. She enjoys being a part of a child’s growth and development; it is such an amazing process. Ms. Oneiki finds enjoyment and takes pride in building a solid program that stimulates children’s love for learning. Watching a child’s face light up when they learn something new or have mastered a skill brings Ms. Oneiki sheer joy. This is what I get to see daily working at Tulip Kids Academy!
