Evangeline Acuna Ponce is a teacher at heart. Her passion for teaching as well as her management position experience captured the hearts of Tulip’s Administration team.
Ms. Gee as she was fondly called by all, graduated in her native land, the Philippines with a Bachelor of Arts degree, major in English, minor in History. She continues her love for learning until she finished her BSE, major in Education. She earned her MA in Education credentials in the country where she was born.
Ms. Vangie, as others call her was a consistent honor student during her Kindergarten, High school and College days. In her country before stepping on American soil, Ms. Ponce was a secondary school teacher. Her 10 yrs. experienced as a high school mentor helped her adapt well to younger children in the field of teaching career in this land of opportunity. Her continuing education was pursued at some learning institutions in America. To name a few, De Anza/Foothill College/ San Jose State University and UC Davis extension. These schools brought her lots of knowledge in the field of Child Development where most of the ECE units were earned. These credentials help her hire to be an Infant/Preschool/Pre-K mentor and hold a management position in Silicon Valley. Her belief in God’s guidance, her love for teaching didn’t stop at the school where she works. This petite lady loves attending seminars/trainings/conferences around the USA, which helps her update in teaching and lead different Childcare Centers as Assistant Director and Director.
Being the youngest child in her family, she was nurtured with love by her grandma that’s why as we can see in her personality, she loves all the people around her, especially the children. Her compassionate attitude attracts humans to love her back. A smile was always on her face as well as laughter that filled Tulip’s surroundings. She is a very happy person. Very organized creature who motivates most of her colleagues to follow orderliness/cleanliness in the school.
What else should I say, with her experiences, generosity and leadership for almost 4 years of stay at TKA, where her mission philosophy is to meet the needs and services of children, parents and teachers and be with them as her own family. Now, our energetic Willow Site Director.
